The project consisted in making a short film on the theme of social work. I was accompanied by Cauã Interlandi, and we had a deadline of a month and a half to complete the project. This involved writing the script, finding locations and actors, then shooting the whole thing over several days before editing. The short film was screened at the Théâtre Saint-Gervais in Geneva for a final visualization of the project.
We took a fictional approach, featuring an elderly person and a carer. Our aim was to create a mental confusion around the real ties that bind our protagonists, playing with reverb and layer effects, as well as with the length of shots and more dreamy shots due to colorimetry and point of view.
We wanted an ambience that played with chiaroscuro and warm and cold colors. Daytime is fairly sober and realistic, while nighttime offers warm and dark colors with strong contrasts. The plants are more intimate to really show the intimate side that night represents.
The breadth and rigor of my design created a rich, seamless brand framework for “howto? ”from visual identity to tutorial animation, from promotional animation to websites.
We had to create a file with the synopsis, script, storyboard, shooting schedule, equipment and actors.
We had been shooting for several days both inside and outside
Then finally we did the colourimetri, the song processing and the editing.
